PROGRAMS
For the year 2006-2007
Generally, the Canton Weavers and Spinners Guild meets on the second
Wednesday of each month, from September through May. We conduct
our business meetings, then have a program. As a general rule, we
meet in the Canton Museum of Art library.
Unless otherwise noted, meetings are scheduled for:

6:40 PM – Business Meeting

• September 12, 2006: Towel challenge
• October 11, 2006: Compositions in felt and glass with scholarship
winner – felted beaded jewelry
• ** November 1, 2006: Video by WARP (Weave a Real Peace).
WARP is an organization of fiber people who support women in developing
countries. In addition to the video, there will be a “trunk
show” of goodies made by native women. They are available
for purchase, with the proceeds going to support WARP.

at the Lonestar Steak House (in the Alamo room) on Dressler Road
in Canton

• May 9, 2006: Pot luck covered dish dinner; towel exchange;
Lynn Carnes Service Recognition Award; Installation of Officers;
Black Sheep Award
** indicates change to 1st Wednesday of the month
In case of inclement weather, exercise common sense when making
driving decisions. If a meeting is cancelled, all effort will be
made to give notice of the cancellation, but keep in mind that this
is not always possible.
